Hanwha Ocean (042660) started off weak in the morning session on the 1st, the first trading day of September.

According to the Korea Exchange, as of 10:48 a.m., Hanwha Ocean's stock was trading at 86,400 won, down 1,600 won (1.82%) from the previous trading day. With the share price hovering in the mid-80,000 won range, attention is focused on whether the stock can narrow its losses in the afternoon session or whether the downward trend will continue.

Meanwhile, Hanwha Ocean announced in a regulatory filing that it won an order for three very large gas carriers (VLGCs) from a shipowner in the Oceania region. The contract is worth 477.8 billion won, equivalent to 3.7% of the company's most recent consolidated revenue as of the end of 2025. The contract period runs from August 31, 2026 to December 6, 2030, with payments to be made according to construction progress.

Attention is also focused on how this order news will affect Hanwha Ocean's stock price amid the ongoing weakness.
