Pi Coin (PI) is once again targeting the $0.10 level. According to the overseas crypto media outlet CoinGape, the price has been holding near the $0.10 target as the Pi Coin ecosystem continues to expand its development features and improve its technical foundation.

Macro Schedule Also a Factor The U.S. Senate is set to hold a cloture vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15 (local time), with 60 votes needed to advance the discussion. The U.S. Federal Reserve is also scheduled to meet on September 15–16 (local time), and CoinGape reported that these decisions could shift demand flows for speculative assets.

Expanded Developer Features The Pi Network introduced a local storage feature on September 4 (local time) for Pi Browser apps registered on the allowlist. This feature allows apps to store settings and session information directly on a user's device, and reportedly reduces server operating costs by keeping supported data on the device. However, storage space is limited, and stored information is not automatically transferred to other devices.

In addition, the network released a staking data API for allowlisted apps, enabling users to check their actual applied stakes in Ecosystem Directory Staking. On the same day, new developer features were introduced, including local storage support, per-app staking data access, and file and video sharing. Developers can use the Pi.shareFile function to add file and video sharing capabilities to their apps.

New developer documentation was also released to consolidate technical materials in one place. According to CoinGape, Pi Network merged technical documentation that had been scattered across multiple locations into a single documentation hub, covering registration, sandbox testing, authentication, payments, platform references, mainnet preparation, and app launch content.

CoinGape reported that Pi Network's development direction is aimed at making app development easier and clarifying the user onboarding process so that more useful apps can grow within the ecosystem. However, it added that for these tools to support sustained token demand, they must translate into services that users choose repeatedly.

Protocol 27, the Final Infrastructure Upgrade According to CoinGape, Protocol 27 entered Testnet 1 on August 21 (local time), after the August mainnet deployment of Protocol 26 was completed. Testnet 2 was expected to follow before moving to the mainnet. Some reports have suggested September 15 (local time) as the target date, but CoinGape reported that Pi Network has not confirmed the final mainnet deployment date.

This upgrade is intended to prepare for smart contract authentication, RPC server infrastructure, and automated market maker liquidity pools, and Pi Network described it as the last infrastructure upgrade planned on the current roadmap.

Technical Perspective CoinGape analyzed that Pi Network would need to rise about 6% from its current price to reach $0.10. Buyers would first need to break through the $0.095 resistance level before facing a stronger resistance zone of $0.098 to $0.10.

The daily relative strength index (RSI) stood at 48, indicating a neutral trend rather than an overbought state. The 12-day and 26-day MACD readings were also close to 0, showing neutral signals.

CoinGape forecast that if upward momentum reappears, the Pi Coin price could target the $0.095 to $0.10 range going forward. It further analyzed that if the price closes clearly above that resistance zone, $0.106 and $0.11 could open as the next price levels. Conversely, if the $0.09 level is lost, $0.085 and $0.08 could once again come into focus.
