The media art exhibition 'AN-YOUNG: An Yu-jin x Jang Won-young Media Art Exhibition,' featuring IVE's An Yu-jin and Jang Won-young, has concluded in Seoul's Seongsu-dong after offering fans a new experience.
[Held from September 5 to 27 at The Seoulitium in Seongsu-dong]
The exhibition was hosted by Starship Entertainment, with CreativeMut planned, organized, and produced by CreativeMut. It ran from September 5 to 27 at The Seoulitium. Based on the visual IP of the two artists' photobooks and incorporating interactive media technology, the exhibition was structured so visitors could enjoy the artists' stories through a multisensory experience.
[From holograms to motion matching... immersive viewing highlights]
The 'GREETING HALL' featured 3D holograms and full-screen holograms, creating the illusion of life-sized artists appearing before visitors' eyes. In the 'PHOTO GALLERY,' unreleased photos blended with ambient sound tailored to each space, offering a synesthetic experience combining sight, sound, and scent.
In the interactive 'DIGITAL ZONE,' motion matching technology was applied so the artists responded in real time to visitors' hand gestures, such as half-heart poses and 'agungppang' poses. A blow interactive using wind sensors created effects of flower petals, confetti, and soap bubbles floating through the air, and a voice message space allowed visitors to hear secret messages from the two artists through a telephone receiver.
Notably, the AR collection event 'CATCH THE AN-YOUNG,' linked with the Seoul Forest area, was introduced for the first time in Korea, extending the entertainment experience beyond the exhibition hall.
[An Yu-jin: "Beyond what I imagined"... Jang Won-young: "Come to the exhibition instead of an amusement park"]
An Yu-jin and Jang Won-young, who visited the exhibition in person, expressed satisfaction with the media interactive technology and the quality of the exhibition. Looking at the photos, they marveled, "The pictures came out so well that we'd want to hang them at home." An Yu-jin said, "We tried new concepts and staging, and it turned out even better than we expected." After experiencing the media effects linked to visitors' hand gestures, Jang Won-young added, "It's almost bewildering to see how smart the world has become," and joked, "You can come to the exhibition instead of going to an amusement park."
[Heading to a global overseas tour... photobooks and exhibition-exclusive official merchandise to be sold]
Following its run in Seongsu-dong, the exhibition will continue as a global overseas tour. CreativeMut plans to deliver the eight-year narrative of the 'Annyeongz' and the media art experience to fans worldwide, building on the spatial planning capabilities and entertainment technology proven through this Seoul exhibition. During the overseas tour, the two artists' photobooks and exhibition-exclusive official merchandise will be sold.
[CreativeMut's track record proving its entertainment technology competitiveness]
Meanwhile, CreativeMut drew 250,000 visitors with the G-DRAGON media exhibition 'Übermensch,' earning a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT. With 'SHINSEGAE MUSICAL WONDERLAND,' conducted with Shinsegae Department Store, it won two awards including the grand prize at 'ICT AWARD KOREA 2026.' In addition, as an operator of Seoul City's idle space utilization project, it created the K-culture complex cultural space 'dududo SEOUL,' and hosted 'COSMOS,' an exhibition marking BIGBANG's 20th debut anniversary, continuing active work in the entertainment technology field that fuses artist IP, space, and cutting-edge technology.
