The virtual asset market is showing mixed movements among major coins. Bitcoin (BTC) is holding steady around the $84,000 level, while Ethereum (ETH) is weakening. Meanwhile, Ripple (XRP), BNB, and Tron (TRX) are rising, making a coin-by-coin rotation pattern increasingly clear rather than the market moving in a single direction.

Top Market-Cap Coins Move in Opposite Directions

According to the market data provided, Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.23% to $84,455.90. Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) fell 0.74% to $2,719.46. As the two flagship large-cap coins move in opposite directions, the market has yet to form a clear direction.

Among large-cap coins, BNB climbed 1.08% to $773.53, and Ripple (XRP) gained 0.90% to $1.5309. Tron (TRX) rose 1.34% to $0.3400, and Solana (SOL) also advanced 0.79% to $121.24.

However, a fair number of coins declined. Chainlink (LINK) dropped 5.15% to $14.608, posting a relatively large decline. Litecoin (LTC) fell 1.60% to $67.70, and Ethereum Classic (ETC) slipped 1.07% to $9.23. Cardano (ADA) edged down 0.28% to $0.2518, moving near flat.

Sharp Swings in Mid- and Small-Cap Altcoins

Mid- and small-cap altcoins showed relatively large moves. NEAR Protocol (NEAR) surged 10.34% to $5.378, and Monero (XMR) gained 4.77% to $118.70. Waves (WAVES) rose 11.97% to $1.076.

In particular, Quant (QNT) soared 24.35% to $316.01, showing a far more pronounced gain than major coins. Compared with Chainlink's drop of more than 5% over the same period, the dispersion in price movements within the altcoin market has widened considerably.

Trading Volume Concentrated in Large-Cap Coins

Trading volume data showed liquidity concentrating in large-cap coins. According to the data provided, BTCUSDT's 24-hour trading volume was about $1.0837 billion, and ETHUSDT recorded about $649.3 million. XRPUSDT posted about $380 million and SOLUSDT about $336 million in trading volume, while BNBUSDT also saw about $94.2 million traded.

Despite double-digit gains in some altcoins, this suggests the market's core liquidity remains concentrated in large-cap coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple (XRP), and Solana.

Three Key Points to Watch

The most notable point in the current market is the diverging trends of Bitcoin and Ethereum. If Ethereum continues to weaken while Bitcoin holds its gains, there is a possibility that rather than a broad rally across virtual assets, funds will keep rotating into liquid large-cap coins and specific themes.

The relative strength of Ripple (XRP) and BNB also draws attention. If these two coins maintain their upward momentum while Ethereum and Chainlink remain sluggish, the market's focus may center on coin-by-coin capital rotation rather than an overall expansion of risk appetite.

Price differentiation among altcoins is also evident. While Quant rose more than 20% and NEAR Protocol and Waves posted double-digit gains, some coins including Chainlink declined. This differs from a market in which altcoins rise all at once.

Overall, the virtual asset market is currently in a phase of pronounced coin-by-coin differentiation rather than a uniform direction. Bitcoin is holding the $84,000 level, but Ethereum is weak, while some large-cap coins such as Ripple (XRP), BNB, and Tron are relatively solid.

Going forward, it is necessary to watch whether the directional gap between Bitcoin and Ethereum narrows, whether the relative strength of Ripple (XRP) and BNB persists, and whether trading flows in surging altcoins such as Quant and NEAR Protocol are sustained. Judging by the trends so far, the market appears weighted toward a 'selective rotation' in which liquidity moves to find specific coins and themes, rather than a one-sided bullish or bearish market.
