Major cryptocurrencies showed broad weakness on the morning of the 7th. Most top-coins by market capitalization, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple (XRP), and Solana, are down from the previous day.

As of 11:04 a.m. on the 7th, according to CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin was trading at $83,743.88, down 2.14% from 24 hours earlier and also down 2.01% over the past hour.

Ethereum fell 3.49% from 24 hours ago to $2,610.90. Ripple (XRP) dropped 3.01% to $1.45, and Binance Coin (BNB) fell 2.15% to $765.69. Solana was down 2.05% from 24 hours earlier at $118.09.

Some coins posted notable declines. Hyperliquid fell 4.65% to $89.89, and Dogecoin dropped 4.46% to $0.09065. Zcash declined 2.32% to $1,317.13, and Tron fell 0.50% to $0.3343.

The recent cryptocurrency market has been reacting sensitively to movements in the dollar and U.S. Treasury yields, as well as the Federal Reserve's (Fed) future monetary policy path. Markets cite Treasury yields, the dollar, and fund flows into spot cryptocurrency ETFs as variables that will shape short-term volatility.

In particular, with major coins weakening simultaneously, investors need to watch not only news on individual cryptocurrencies but also the global macroeconomic environment. Changes in interest rate expectations, the dollar's value, and global risk-asset sentiment could amplify volatility in the cryptocurrency market.
