MBN's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The Boss's Obvious Taste' has released its first teaser video ahead of its premiere, heightening anticipation for the broadcast.
'The Boss's Obvious Taste' is based on the Naver web novel and webtoon of the same name. It is directed by Kang Sol and written by screenwriter Nam Ji-yeon, with production handled by Gardin Media and Artist Studio. The drama premieres on Wednesday, November 11, at 10:20 p.m.
The released teaser video features chaebol boss Kwon Do-hyuk (played by Sung Hoon). A former AI architect who became the CEO of OYES Entertainment, Kwon Do-hyuk takes the helm of the company in crisis. Having lived by logic and data, he experiences a change in his life after meeting Lee Eun-chae (played by Oh Se-young), the vocalist of the indie band 'India Red.'
Lee Eun-chae, who was working as a telemarketer, takes the stage with the band 'Su' dressed in a red dress and a wig after being scolded by her team leader. The two first meet when Lee Eun-chae appears wearing a doctor's coat bearing the name of her friend Seo Jin-woo (played by Lee Chung-ju). Discovering she is a fake doctor, Kwon Do-hyuk plays a prank on her.
Later, Kwon Do-hyuk spots the band 'Su' on the album cover of 'India Red' and visits their performance venue, where he meets Lee Eun-chae again and grows suspicious of her identity. As their relationship becomes more complicated, Kwon Do-hyuk presents Lee Eun-chae with a three-month contract.
At the end of the teaser, Eun-chae is seen leaning her ear against the door of Kwon Do-hyuk's room, and when the door opens, she falls into his arms. A subtle emotion flows between the two, and Kwon Do-hyuk, bewildered by the change within himself, says, 'Why is my heart racing?'
The production team said, 'Kwon Do-hyuk, who has judged everything by logic and data, and the free-spirited Lee Eun-chae will come together to create a unique romance,' asking viewers to stay interested in how the two will emotionally transform as they become entangled through the three-month contract.
