The album title '2X8' carries special meaning. Adding the numbers 2 and 8 makes 10, signifying the 10th anniversary; multiplying them yields 16, referring to the 16 tracks and the 16th anniversary of Infinite's debut, and it also connects to Nam Woo-hyun's birthday, February 8. On this album, Nam Woo-hyun participated in writing and composing all tracks, showcasing his abilities as a singer-songwriter while capturing his musical growth over the past decade and his affection for fans.
The title track 'DEVIL' is an upbeat song blending pop rock and dance beats, expressing irresistible temptation and instinctive attraction.

The album also features meaningful tracks. 'Yeol Beonjjae Pageji (Tenth Page),' dedicated to fans for the 10th anniversary, is placed as track 10, and 'EVERYDAY,' which was a hidden CD track on his first mini album 'Write..' in 2016, is officially released for the first time. In addition, the fan song 'Sonyeon Sonyeo (Boy and Girl),' featuring the Infinite members, adds further significance. The final track, 'Namoo (Tree),' connects to Nam Woo-hyun's name and is a ballad offering comfort at the end of the day.
