In the previous session, semiconductor substrate-related stocks showed clearly divergent movements by company. Taesung and DaeDuck Electronics led the gains with rises in the 4% range, while IntechPlues and Isu Petasys also finished higher. In contrast, Samsung Electro-Mechanics and LG Innotek fell 2-3%, presenting a contrasting picture.

Looking at the gainers as of the market close on the 8th, Taesung finished trading at 62,600 won, up 4.86% from the previous trading day, recording a relatively high gain among major semiconductor substrate-related stocks. DaeDuck Electronics also closed at 157,600 won, up 4.16%.

The strength of small- and mid-cap substrate stocks continued as well. IntechPlues rose 3.59% to 60,600 won, and Isu Petasys gained 2.46% to 125,000 won. Ducksan Hi-Metal also finished trading up 2.39% at 14,110 won. The upward trend was also seen in GigaVision (up 1.63% to 137,500 won) and Simmtech (up 0.18% to 170,700 won).

However, decliners were not few. Simmtech Holdings closed down 1.18% at 5,020 won, and Korea Circuit fell 1.47% to 87,100 won, showing weakness.

Large-cap electronic component stocks posted larger declines. Samsung Electro-Mechanics finished trading at 1,559,000 won, down 2.81% from the previous trading day, with trading volume totaling 897,747 shares. LG Innotek recorded 572,000 won, down 3.21%.

Market attention now turns to the next trading session. Whether Taesung and DaeDuck Electronics can sustain their upward momentum, along with the share price movements of large-cap stocks such as Samsung Electro-Mechanics and LG Innotek, are expected to be the key points to watch.
