'Fireworks Baseball 2' Fireworks Fighters Fall Into First Two-Game Losing Streak of Season Against University National Team

The Fireworks Fighters of the Studio C1 variety program 'Fireworks Baseball 2' lost 10-6 to the university national team, falling into their first two-game losing streak of the season. The game can be seen in episode 22, released on the 12th at 8 p.m. on Studio C1's official YouTube channel.

10 Runs Allowed Early... Moon Kyo-won's Two-Run Homer Not Enough

With the pitching staff shaky early on, the Fireworks Fighters gave up 10 runs through the top of the fifth inning. The lineup answered with one run each in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings, but the university national team took control of the game.

In the bottom of the seventh, they added a run with no outs and the bases loaded, and Moon Kyo-won's two-run home run brought the score to 10-5. However, despite Shin Kyung-hon's RBI double in the bottom of the ninth, the comeback fell short and the losing streak continued.

Choi Hyun-woo showed stable pitching in the top of the seventh and eighth innings. In the top of the ninth, he allowed an infield hit and a stolen base but prevented further runs with consecutive flyouts.

In the bottom of the ninth, Lee Taek-geun got on base with a walk and Shin Kyung-hon added a run with a double to left-center, but Jung Keun-woo and Park Yong-taik were each retired on groundouts, ending the game.

Yoo Hee-kwan Starts Against Busan High... Aiming to Escape Losing Streak

To snap the losing streak, the Fireworks Fighters sent Yoo Hee-kwan to the mound as the starting pitcher in their 15th attended game of the season against Busan High School. Yoo Hee-kwan struck out the first batter, and although he gave up a double to the second batter, he calmly closed out the inning.

In the bottom of the first, Park Yong-taik drew a walk and Lee Dae-ho recorded the team's first hit, but they could not convert it into a run. In the bottom of the second, Jung Eui-yoon hit a double against his alma mater's juniors. In the top of the third, Yoo Hee-kwan faced a crisis with a hit by Busan High freshman Noh Hyun-seo, an advancing hit by Choi Hyun-woong, and a walk, but ended the inning with a strikeout and a flyout.

Viewers Praise the "Never-Give-Up Baseball"

Viewers who watched the broadcast reacted positively to Choi Hyun-woo's pitching, Shin Kyung-hon's performance, and Jung Eui-yoon's double. They left various comments such as "Why is little magician Choi Hyun-woo so endearing," "I love this kind of baseball, never giving up until the end," and "Dotorigni Shin Kyung-hon is completely insane!"

Meanwhile, 'Fireworks Baseball 2' is released every Monday at 8 p.m. on Studio C1's official YouTube channel.
