Ripple has joined hands with embedded wallet company Privy to expand the payment infrastructure of the XRP Ledger (XRPL). With this partnership, payments using XRP and Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD are expected to become more convenient.

■ Privy Wallet Infrastructure to Be Introduced to XRPL

According to foreign crypto media outlet CoinGape, Ripple has decided to introduce Privy's wallet infrastructure to the XRPL network. Through this, it plans to support developers and companies in building consumer-facing payment services more easily.

Privy announced on its official blog that it would introduce programmable wallet infrastructure to XRPL. Privy, an affiliate of Stripe, will support developers in more easily building payment services and AI agent-based applications on XRPL through this partnership.

Privy explained, "Developers can use Privy to create and manage XRPL wallets programmatically, sign transactions, and build services utilizing various digital assets on XRPL, including XRP and RLUSD."

■ Embedded Wallets Without Direct Private Key Management... Support for AI Agent Transactions

According to CoinGape, with the introduction of this wallet infrastructure, fintech companies will be able to offer embedded wallet services that allow users to make stablecoin payments without directly managing private keys.

Privy also highlighted a server-based wallet function that supports AI agents in conducting transactions. This includes transactions utilizing the X402 payment infrastructure.

■ XRPL Processes 13 Million AI Agent Payments... 25% of Network Activity

Ripple also confirmed the partnership with Privy through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, emphasizing that XRPL is already being used in the payments sector.

According to Ripple's announcement cited by CoinGape, AI agent payments processed on XRPL so far number 13 million. This accounts for approximately 25% of total network activity. Ripple stated, "XRPL, designed for payments, is already supporting next-generation commerce."

■ A 'New Milestone' Following Standard Chartered's Launch of RLUSD Custody

CoinGape assessed that this partnership marks another important milestone for the XRP community. It also noted that news of the new partnership came just days after Standard Chartered launched its RLUSD custody service.

According to CoinGape, Markus Infanger, Senior Vice President of Ripple's RippleX, emphasized Privy's wallet infrastructure and XRPL's technological strengths regarding the partnership. Infanger explained that with the combination of Privy's wallet infrastructure and XRPL's fast payment processing speed, low transaction costs, and native support for cryptocurrency transactions, developers now have a solid foundation for building scalable financial products.

CoinGape reported that this partnership focuses on improving developers' accessibility to XRPL and making it easier to build payment services using XRP and RLUSD.
