TV CHOSUN has revealed the seven-athlete lineup for 'Speed Queen,' South Korea's first short track sports reality program.

'Speed Queen' follows Olympic medalists and former national team short track skaters as they once again don the Taeguk mark and take on the national team selection trials. The first episode airs on Wednesday, November 25, at 10 p.m.

Athletes with impressive credentials have joined the roster, including Shin Sae-bom, who has 22 years of short track experience, and speed skating world champion Kim Bo-reum. Notably, Kim Ria, a relay gold medalist at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, is making another attempt, this time aiming for a gold medal in an individual event.

They are joined by Yoon Jung-min, who competes in both short track and speed skating while using data from her doctoral research in competition; Park Yoon-jung, who has worked as a writer and sports ethics lecturer and is now dedicating herself entirely to short track; Kim Chan-seo, an employee at a skate equipment company who dreams of becoming a national team member and is taking to the ice herself; and Kim Do-yeon, the youngest participant, who aims to prove her skills based on her experience training alone without a team.

The athletes have begun practical training under the guidance of coach Jeon Yi-kyung, coach Kim A-rang, and manager Lee Yu-ri. From different backgrounds, they are pouring themselves into training toward one goal: the national team selection trials.

The character posters released alongside the news contrast the athletes' everyday lives with their competitive personas, capturing their determination to take on a renewed challenge for the dreams they once set aside.

'Speed Queen' will showcase the short track athletes' skills, their challenges, and the final showdown of the national team selection.
