BTS's V has ranked No. 1 for the third consecutive year in a commemorative vote for December-born artists hosted by the global fandom platform UPICK.

The vote targeted K-POP artists with December birthdays. According to UPICK, V competed against candidates including ZEROBASEONE's Kim Jiwoong, AlphaDriveOne's An Shin, and ENHYPEN's Sunghoon, ultimately taking first place. With this, V defended the top spot in the 'December Birthday Idol' category this year, following last year's win.

His group BTS is also on a steady roll. BTS recently received Italy's FIMI Platinum certification with their fifth full-length album 'Arirang,' and set a record by charting on the U.S. Billboard 200 for 32 consecutive weeks. Having wrapped up their South American tour, BTS will continue their world tour in major Asian cities starting in November.

To celebrate this vote's winner V, UPICK plans to broadcast birthday celebration video advertisements made directly by fans via digital signage in key sections of Hongik University Station on the Seoul subway. The event is designed so that people passing through the Hongdae area can join in celebrating V's birthday.

Meanwhile, UPICK has closed the December birthday idol vote and begun the official preliminary vote for the '2026 DANAL APAN STAR AWARDS.'

A UPICK official said, "BTS's V has once again defended the 'December Birthday Idol' throne with overwhelming support from fans around the world."
