Girl group ILLIT has won its first music show trophy since debut with 'I'll Arrest You,' the title track of their fifth mini album 'BREAK EVEN.'
On the June 6 broadcast of KBS2's 'Music Bank,' ILLIT took first place with 'I'll Arrest You,' receiving a music show trophy for the first time since their comeback.
On this stage, the members transformed into various characters such as lifeguards, cheerleaders, and sports referees, showcasing fresh styling. Their energetic performance, stable live vocals, and synchronized group choreography drew an enthusiastic response from the audience.
The new song's popularity is also evident on domestic and international music charts. 'I'll Arrest You' held the No. 1 spot on Apple Music's 'Today's Top 100: South Korea' chart for five consecutive days, and also ranked high on domestic real-time charts including Melon's 'Top 100,' Bugs, and Genie.
The sensation continues in the global market as well. 'I'll Arrest You' entered Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart immediately after release and maintained its position in the rankings, while also appearing on the U.S. Billboard 'Global 200' and 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' charts.
The song's popularity shows no signs of cooling on short-form platforms either. As of June 6, videos featuring 'I'll Arrest You' on TikTok exceeded 400,000, and the track rose to No. 1 on TikTok's 'Top 50' chart and No. 3 on the 'Viral 50' chart. It also ranked on YouTube's 'Daily Shorts Popular Songs' charts in multiple countries including South Korea, the United States, and Japan.
ILLIT also released 'I'll Arrest You (Remixes)' on June 6, featuring versions that reinterpret the original track in various styles including kids, whistle, club, and hyper.
In their award acceptance speech, ILLIT expressed gratitude to their agency, staff, members Moka who helped prepare the album, and their fandom GLLIT, saying, 'We will work hard to keep capturing the hearts of GLLIT.'
