SK Hynix (000660) widened its losses in the NXT Aftermarket, an after-hours trading session, on the 8th, falling below the 2 million won mark, a psychological support level. The defense line, referred to as '2-Million-Nix' among investors, ultimately collapsed.

In the regular trading session that day, SK Hynix closed at 2,076,000 won, down 125,000 won (5.68%) from the previous day. The main reason cited was a wave of profit-taking sell-offs targeting large-cap semiconductor stocks amid a broad decline in the KOSPI.

Selling pressure continued even after the regular session ended. As of 6:07 PM, the price dropped to 1,999,000 won in the NXT Aftermarket. This represents a plunge of 202,000 won (9.18%) from the previous day's closing price, with the 2 million won mark breached in after-hours trading.

Typically, the NXT Aftermarket has established itself as a market that first reflects overseas stock market trends and global semiconductor-related news after the regular session closes. On this day as well, selling volume continued in after-hours trading, leading to a further expansion of losses.

In the securities market, whether SK Hynix can recover the 2 million won level in the next trading day's regular session has emerged as the biggest focus of attention, given that the stock lost that level in after-hours trading. Whether the stock price rebounds to the 2 million won level in the short term is expected to be a key turning point for gauging future investor sentiment.
