Hanwha Ocean (042660) ended its two-day correction with a strong rebound, reclaiming the '80,000 Ocean' mark based on its closing price.

According to the Korea Exchange, Hanwha Ocean finished trading on the 15th in the KOSPI market at 82,000 won, up 5,200 won (6.77%) from the previous trading day. With steady buying pressure flowing in during the session, the stock price broke through the 80,000-won level and maintained the 80,000-won range even at the closing price. This marks a successful rebound following the correction over the two trading days on the 13th and 14th, drawing investors' attention once again.

The strength of the KOSPI market on the same day also contributed positively to improving investor sentiment. The KOSPI index closed at 7,284.41, soaring 427.58 points (6.23%) compared to the previous trading day. Amid the overall upward trend in the market, buying pressure spread to large-cap stocks, including shipbuilding stocks.

Recently, Hanwha Ocean had experienced increased stock price volatility due to issues related to large-scale defense projects, such as the Canadian submarine project (CPSP) and the KDDX project. However, on the 15th, as risk appetite recovered across the broader market, the stock recouped its losses and staged a rebound.

In the market, whether this rebound can be sustained in the trading session on the 16th is seen as a key focus. Going forward, Hanwha Ocean's stock price trend is expected to be significantly influenced by improvements in the global shipbuilding industry and the recovery of investor sentiment in the domestic stock market.
