As of July 15, 2026, domestic precious metal prices have been updated.

According to GoldPrice.com, pure gold (3.75g) traded at 838,000 won for buying and 725,000 won for selling on this day. The buying price fell by 2,000 won compared to the previous trading day, and the selling price also dropped by 3,000 won.

Other types of gold besides pure gold also showed weakness across the board. The selling price for 18K gold was 535,000 won, down 2,000 won from the previous trading day. The selling price for 14K gold also stood at 415,000 won, down 2,000 won from the prior day.

On the other hand, platinum (3.75g) was on the rise. It recorded 335,000 won for buying and 279,000 won for selling, with the buying price rising 4,000 won compared to the previous trading day and the selling price also climbing 3,000 won.

Silver (3.75g) maintained the same level as the previous day with no price change, at 11,250 won for buying and 10,750 won for selling.

Meanwhile, the U.S. June PPI (Producer Price Index) announced on this day in Korean time rose 5.5% year-on-year. The core PPI, excluding food and energy, showed a 5.1% increase. Both indicators came in below market expectations.

Previously, the U.S. June CPI (Consumer Price Index) released on the 14th also rose only 3.5% year-on-year, while core CPI increased by 2.6%.

As the two key U.S. price indicators fell short of expectations in succession, attention is focused on what interest rate signal the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) will send going forward. There is also keen interest in what impact this will have on the trend of gold prices as a safe-haven asset.
