Daejeon Electronics has decided to invest 497 billion KRW in new production facilities to respond to increasing demand in the semiconductor market.
According to a regulatory filing on the 20th, Daejeon Electronics confirmed through a board resolution that it will make capital investments to build production facilities and ancillary facilities for semiconductor-use products. The investment amount represents 55.39% of the company's equity (897.3518 billion KRW) based on the 2025 consolidated financial statements.
The key purpose of the investment is to expand production capacity in line with growing demand in the semiconductor market. The investment period runs from July 20, 2026, to December 31, 2027, with the start date being the same as the date of the board resolution.
The company stated that it plans to raise the necessary funds through a combination of internal funds and external borrowing. It added that the investment amount and period may be subject to change during the implementation process.
