The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) will raise its curtain with a spectacular opening performance on August 21 at the Busan BEXCO Auditorium.

Yang Sang-guk will serve as the MC for the blue carpet event that signals the start of the festival, which will be attended by over 100 participants, including Korea's top-tier comedians, comedians from 10 countries, and popular YouTubers, adding to the excitement of the festival. Broadcaster Ji Seok-jin will take on the role of main MC for the subsequent opening performance, leading the overall program.

The main stage will feature 'Malja Show & Gag Concert Gala Show,' where comedians from 'Gag Concert' will make a full appearance. In addition, the drawing performance team 'Crokey Brothers' and international comedian 'Patrick Cote-Moine' will join to present the charm of global comedy. In particular, the trending band QWER will perform a celebration stage with their diverse hit songs including 'CEREMONY,' 'Tears to Hold Back,' 'Fake Idol,' 'My Name is Clear,' and 'Worry Addiction,' drawing the audience's attention.

The Busan International Comedy Festival, which has dedicated itself to spreading comedy culture and expanding citizens' access to cultural experiences over the past 14 years, aims to establish a comedy platform that organically integrates performance, creation, and education. Going forward, it plans to focus on discovering and nurturing both rookie and professional comedians, as well as revitalizing the planning, production, and distribution of comedy content.

This year's 14th BICF will be held across Busan from August 21 to 30, and tickets can be reserved through NOL Interpark.
