[Breaking] LS Electric Reports Q2 2026 Operating Income of KRW 178.5 Billion, Up 64.4% YoY

According to the provisional consolidated Q2 2026 earnings disclosed by LS Electric on the 23rd, the company recorded revenue of KRW 1,576.998 billion and operating income of KRW 178.52 billion.

This represents a 32.18% increase year-over-year and a 14.56% increase quarter-over-quarter in revenue. In particular, operating income surged 64.39% year-over-year and 41.05% quarter-over-quarter, significantly improving profitability. Profit from continuing operations before income tax expenses also stood at KRW 157.07 billion, up 50.86% year-over-year and 2.23% quarter-over-quarter.

However, net income for the period was KRW 115.838 billion, up 72.23% year-over-year but down 2.64% quarter-over-quarter. Net income attributable to owners of the parent company was also KRW 118.556 billion, up 76.82% year-over-year but down 1.62% quarter-over-quarter.

Cumulative performance for the first half (January–June) was also strong. The company recorded revenue of KRW 2,953.55 billion and operating income of KRW 305.087 billion, growing 32.74% and 55.73%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. During the same period, cumulative net income reached KRW 234.818 billion (up 74.45%), and net income attributable to owners of the parent company achieved KRW 239.063 billion (up 74.59%).

Meanwhile, LS Electric stated that these earnings are provisional consolidated figures based on Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) and may differ from finalized results, as they are prepared prior to the completion of the external auditor's audit. The company also added that net income as reported in the disclosure represents total net income, which includes net income attributable to non-controlling interests.
