Winix (044340) surged to the daily price limit and settled at the upper limit in early trading. Despite the activation of a Volatility Interruption (VI) due to the short-term sharp rise, buying pressure has not subsided.

As of 9:09 a.m. on the 3rd, Winix was trading at 6,270 won, up 1,445 won (29.95%) from the previous trading day, hitting the upper limit.

According to the Korea Exchange, a static VI for Winix was activated at 9:03:38 a.m. that day. The VI was subsequently lifted at 9:05:50 a.m., but the stock continued to maintain its upper limit, demonstrating a strong buying trend.

A Volatility Interruption (VI) is a system that conducts single-price trading for a certain period of time to curb excessive chasing by investors when stock prices surge or plunge over a short period.

On this day, Winix saw a flood of buy orders immediately after the market open, quickly reaching the price limit. The market views that investor sentiment has improved significantly along with an increase in trading volume, and attention is now focused on whether the stock can maintain its upper limit through the closing price.

However, some analysts caution that with the expanding volatility in the domestic stock market recently, the future stock price trend should be closely monitored.
