SK Biopharm announced on the 5th that its second-quarter operating profit on a consolidated basis stood at KRW 97.064 billion, up 56.9% from the same period last year.

Revenue for the same period reached KRW 247.367 billion, a 40.3% increase year-on-year, while net income surged 188.1% to KRW 85.065 billion.

However, compared to the previous quarter (Q1), revenue and operating profit increased by 8.5% and 8.1%, respectively, while net income decreased by 17.2%. Net income attributable to the owners of the parent company also fell by 19.1% from the previous quarter.

On a cumulative basis for the first half of this year (January–June), the company recorded revenue of KRW 475.253 billion, operating profit of KRW 186.832 billion, and net income of KRW 187.799 billion. These figures represent year-on-year increases of 48.2% in revenue, 113.4% in operating profit, and 282.1% in net income.

The company stated that these figures are preliminary consolidated operating results prepared in accordance with K-IFRS, and that they may be subject to change during the ongoing review process, as the external auditor's review has not yet been completed.
