SK Telecom posted strong earnings for the second quarter.

In a regulatory filing on the 5th, SK Telecom announced that on a consolidated basis, its preliminary operating profit for the second quarter of this year reached KRW 566 billion, up 67.34% from the same period last year.

Revenue for the same period stood at KRW 4.3591 trillion, a 0.47% increase year-on-year. Net income surged 459.76% to KRW 466 billion. Compared to the previous quarter, revenue declined 0.76%, while operating profit rose 5.29%.

Profit from continuing operations before income tax expense totaled KRW 572 billion, up 22.86% from the previous quarter, while net income and net income attributable to owners of the parent company increased by 47.27% and 45.98%, respectively.

On a cumulative basis for the first half (January–June), revenue was KRW 8.7514 trillion, down 0.47% from the same period last year. Meanwhile, operating profit rose 21.86% to KRW 1.1036 trillion, and cumulative net income climbed 75.89% to KRW 782.4 billion, with net income attributable to owners of the parent company increasing 74.65% to KRW 793 billion.

SK Telecom noted that these figures are preliminary consolidated results prepared in accordance with the Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) and are subject to change during the external auditor's review.

Meanwhile, the company plans to provide a detailed explanation of its earnings to analysts and investors through its 'Q2 2026 Earnings Release' at 4:00 PM on the same day.
