The recent earnings report released by U.S. quantum computing company IonQ (IONQ) is drawing market attention. As of 10:34 p.m. on the 6th Korean time, IonQ shares are trading at $40.89, up 2.40% from the previous trading day.

According to the Q2 2026 earnings announced by IonQ on the 5th local time, revenue reached $80.1 million, representing a 287% increase compared to the same period last year. However, adjusted loss per share (Adjusted EPS) came in at $0.33, and adjusted EBITDA recorded a loss of $120.3 million, leaving profitability improvement as an ongoing challenge.

On a non-GAAP basis, research and development (R&D) expenses amounted to $95 million, sales and marketing expenses to $17 million, and general and administrative expenses to $44.4 million.

In terms of cash reserves, the company held approximately $3 billion in cash and cash equivalents as of the end of June. However, on a pro forma basis reflecting the cash outflow from the SkyWater acquisition completed at the end of July, the figure is estimated to be around $2 billion.

Attention is focused on how this earnings release will affect IonQ's future stock price trajectory. At the same time, the stock price direction of other quantum computing-related companies such as Quantinuum and Rigetti Computing also warrants close attention.
