Major local governments in the Jeonbuk region will provide 'livelihood stabilization support funds' to help ease the burden on residents struggling with high prices and an economic downturn. Wanju County, Gochang County, and Buan County all plan to provide 300,000 won per resident to assist household finances.

The application period for Gochang County's 'Residents' Vitality Support Fund' runs from September 1 to October 16. In particular, during the first week of applications, a daily rotation system based on the last digit of applicants' birth years will be implemented to distribute the volume of applicants and ensure smooth administrative processing.

Buan County secured the necessary funds through a supplementary budget in September. The county will operate a concentrated payout period from September 16 to 18, with plans to swiftly distribute 300,000 won per resident to all county residents before the Chuseok holiday.

Wanju County will also provide 300,000 won per resident in livelihood stabilization support funds before the Chuseok holiday. Applications for the support fund can be submitted starting on the 8th of next month at local town and township administrative welfare centers and civil service centers. The funds will be disbursed in the form of prepaid cards usable within the county, which is also expected to help boost the local economy.
