The Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2026, presented with Hanwha, will be held on Saturday, September 5, in the area of Yeouido Han River Park in Seoul.

Since 2000, Hanwha has operated the Seoul International Fireworks Festival at Yeouido Han River Park every year as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The schedule, which had taken place in late September last year, was moved up to early September this year in consideration of the Chuseok holiday period and visitor demand from foreign tourists.

This year's festival will feature three countries, including Hanwha representing South Korea, along with fireworks teams from the United States and the United Kingdom. Each team will showcase fireworks reflecting their respective national characteristics and display techniques.

Safety management will also be significantly strengthened. Hanwha will deploy a total of approximately 4,700 safety management and crowd control personnel, including 1,200 employee volunteers, on the eve of the festival and on the day of the main event. This marks the largest scale in the festival's history. In partnership with telecommunications companies, the 'Orange Safety' system will measure real-time crowd density to help disperse spectators, while CCTV cameras across zones in the outer Yeouido area, Wonhyo Bridge, and the Mapo and Ichon vicinities will monitor citizen movements in real time.

Hanwha plans to continue developing the Seoul International Fireworks Festival into South Korea's premier global cultural tourism festival, having prepared venue safety measures and spectator convenience plans in close cooperation with relevant organizations including the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

A Hanwha official stated, "We are preparing an even more colorful festival by adding new fireworks displays and cultural and tourism programs," adding, "We will do our utmost to create a dignified festival with safety as our top priority."
