Google announced on the 7th that it will screen a teaser video for the collaboration between BTS and its artificial intelligence (AI) model 'Gemini' on the exterior of Las Vegas' iconic landmark, 'Sphere.' The screening will run from August 2 to 8 in U.S. local time.
Sphere is a spherical concert venue measuring 112 meters in height and 157 meters in width, with approximately 580,000 square meters of LED display wrapping around its entire exterior. It is utilized by global companies to showcase new products and brand campaigns, drawing worldwide attention with its overwhelming visual effects.
This approximately 60-second teaser video is the second collaborative teaser content following the first teaser released via social media. It begins with the logos of Gemini and BTS appearing in sequence on the exterior of Sphere. Next, alongside scenes of an audience filling the concert venue, the logo and imagery of BTS's fifth full-length album 'ARIRANG' dynamically unfold. Additionally, representative Korean landscapes such as the night view of Gyeongbokgung Palace appear alongside the Gemini search bar, creating a scene that harmonizes Korean culture with AI technology.
Google explained that this campaign expresses 'a new world created by technology and art' through the combination of Gemini's technological capabilities and BTS's creativity. While the specific schedule or format for the collaborative outcome has not yet been revealed, this teaser effectively previews the new AI-based experience that the two sides will unveil.
Recently, Google has been pursuing a strategy of expanding collaborations with pop culture content to enhance the global awareness of the Gemini brand. BTS is currently conducting a North American tour, drawing tens of thousands of audience members to stadium concerts in major cities and remaining actively engaged in the global market. This campaign aims for global exposure targeting not only Korea but the entire world.
A Google official stated, 'The teaser video unfolding on the overwhelming scale of Sphere is expected to become another milestone where Google's AI meets BTS.'
