Actor Sung Hoon has been cast as the lead in MBN's new drama 'The Boss's Obvious Taste,' which is scheduled to premiere this coming November.

In this production, Sung Hoon will take on the role of Kwon Do-hyuk, a genius in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and the CEO of O-Yes Entertainment, set to deliver a new romance. In the drama, Kwon Do-hyuk is an MIT-educated AI doctor who prioritizes logic and data, living a life based on reason rather than emotion. He prefers classical music and takes on the role of entertainment company CEO at his father's suggestion. While working on an AI project, he crosses paths with indie band vocalist Lee Eun-chae, which brings positive changes to his once firm set of values.

'The Boss's Obvious Taste' is a romance drama that depicts the journey of chaebol boss Kwon Do-hyuk and indie band vocalist Lee Eun-chae as they search for a single album called 'Her.' Based on a Naver web novel and webtoon by author Seek-k, the drama is directed by Kang Sol with the screenplay written by Nam Ji-yeon. Production is jointly handled by Gadin Media and Artist Studio.

Sung Hoon has proven his solid acting skills through numerous popular works such as 'Perfect Marriage Recipe,' 'Taejoo, Will Die Soon,' 'From Today On, We Are,' and 'Marriage Lyrics for Divorce Music.' In this drama, he plans to perfectly portray the detailed emotional arc that begins with cold charisma and gradually transforms through love.

Regarding Sung Hoon's casting, the production team stated, 'He is an actor who can express everything from Kwon Do-hyuk's perfect visuals and cold charisma to the loneliness beneath it all,' adding, 'We ask for much anticipation for the new transformation and heart-fluttering romance that Sung Hoon, who is Kwon Do-hyuk from head to toe, will show.'
