CLOSE YOUR EYES has extended its record for the most rookie awards won by a boy group debuting in 2025, reaching a total of 10 trophies. The group received the Next Generation Award at the '2026 SPOTV K-POP AWARDS (2026 SKA)' held at KINTEX in Ilsan on the 6th.

Since their debut, CLOSE YOUR EYES have steadily grown across various fields including album sales, music shows, and award ceremonies. They set a personal best with their third mini album 'blackout,' released last year, and the cumulative sales of their three mini albums have surpassed 1.2 million copies. They have also earned recognition for their musicality, topping music shows consecutively with their debut song 'All My Poetry and Novels Inside Me,' followed by 'Snowy Summer' and 'X.'

The major rookie awards the group received from 2025 to 2026 include the 'K World Dream New Vision Award' at the 2025 K World Dream Awards, 'Boy Idol of the Year (Rookie)' at the 2025 Brand of the Year Awards, 'Hottest' at The Fact Music Awards 2025, 'New Wave Artist' at TikTok Awards 2025, the 'IS Rookie Award' at the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards, the 'K-POP Award' at the 33rd Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards, 'Golden Choice' at the 40th Golden Disc Awards, 'The Awards Dreams Silver Label' at the 2nd D Awards, 'Rookie Award' at the 35th Seoul Music Awards, and the 'Next Generation' award at this year's 2026 SPOTV K-POP AWARDS.

The group also delivered a powerful performance on the awards stage that day. Kenshin opened with a solo dance using a mirror, drawing the audience's attention, after which the members performed a lyrical dance together with dancers. For the final 'SOB' stage, they commanded the venue with white styling and dynamic choreography.

In their acceptance speech, CLOSE YOUR EYES said, "We thank the SPOTV officials and all the staff who gave us this great award, as well as our Uncore family. We will make a comeback soon, so we hope our beloved CLOSERs (fandom name) will wait just a little longer — we will return with great music and performances. Like the name of this award, we will be a CLOSE YOUR EYES that works hard to become the next generation. We love you, CLOZER."

Meanwhile, CLOSE YOUR EYES is set to make a comeback with a new album at the end of September, after about five months.
