EO Contents Group has confirmed the production of its new series 'The Rescue' for 2026, following the 2025 AI seasonal drama 'Death Code: The Final Vote,' expanding its AI-based content production. By combining its live-action film and drama production experience with generative AI, EO Contents Group is developing content beyond short videos into sustainable series and IPs.
AI Seasonal Storytelling Proven Through 'Death Code'
'Death Code' is a survival-genre drama consisting of 10 episodes, each three minutes long. It depicts the process of an AI mafia game, introduced as a prison rehabilitation program, taking control of a closed offshore prison. With a structure in which characters, events, and the worldview gradually accumulate as episodes progress, the series demonstrated how generative AI can contribute to completing genre storytelling.
'The Rescue'... A 50-Episode Global Series in One-Minute Episodes
Slated for release in 2026, 'The Rescue' is a 50-episode global series set in major cities around the world, blending rescue operations, espionage, and romance in one-minute episodes. Building on the production experience of 'Death Code,' it is expected to showcase an expanded scale. EO Contents Group is strengthening the quality of its AI content by focusing on the consistency of characters and emotional arcs, scene-to-scene continuity, and genre immersion.
Expanding Short-Form Lineup Based on Genre Content Production Capabilities
EO Contents Group has built its genre content production capabilities through dramas such as 'My Perfect Secretary,' 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy,' and 'Night Has Fallen,' as well as films including 'Long-term Vacancy' and 'Gangneung: Ghost Play.' After presenting its first short-form drama 'Check-in to the Queen' on major domestic and international platforms, the company also plans to release a new short-form drama, 'Smitten at First Sight.'
EO Contents Group CEO Oh Eun-young said, "As important as the advancement of AI technology is a story and characters that viewers can follow to the end," adding, "We will expand the potential confirmed through 'Death Code' into 'The Rescue' to build competitive AI series IPs."
