South Korean high-bandwidth memory (HBM)-related stocks are broadly weak in early week trading. Hanmi Semiconductor fell more than 5%, with YCCHEM, QRT, and Rayence also declining. However, some stocks such as DI and Techwing are rising, showing mixed movements across individual names.

Hanmi Semiconductor -5.06%... Leading Declines

As of 11:28 a.m. on the 12th, Hanmi Semiconductor was trading at 253,500 won, down 13,500 won (-5.06%) from the previous trading day, recording a relatively large decline among HBM-related stocks today.

DI +4.03%... Some Gainers Also Visible

In contrast, some HBM-related stocks are maintaining an upward trend. DI was trading at 43,850 won, up 1,700 won (+4.03%) from the previous trading day. Techwing rose 600 won (+1.09%) to 55,700 won, and YCC gained 130 won (+0.76%) to reach 17,260 won. STI was also trading up 50 won (+0.20%) at 25,250 won.

Semiconductor Industry Conditions and AI Demand as Future Variables

As such, declining stocks dominated among HBM-related names today, while some stocks rose, showing differentiated movements. Future share price trends may be influenced by semiconductor industry conditions, earnings outlooks of major companies, and changes in artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor demand.

With Hanmi Semiconductor showing an intraday decline in the 5% range, attention is focused on whether it can narrow its losses in the afternoon session and whether changes will appear in the movements of other HBM-related stocks.
