ILLIT has heightened anticipation for its comeback by releasing the 'QUIET' version concept photos for its fifth mini album 'BREAK EVEN'.
In the photos released on the 12th via the group's official SNS, the members exuded a calm and mystical atmosphere in pure white outfits with fresh, delicate makeup. Their expressionless faces and cold gazes completed a chilling mood. This concept expresses a heart that has grown cold upon realizing a relationship was one-sided, centering on frigid emotions. It stands in stark contrast to the previously released 'BURNING' concept, which was imbued with anger.
In the concept film released alongside the photos, the members suppressed their emotions and wore indifferent expressions. Subtitles such as "I keep smiling like everything is fine" and "I'm so annoyed today" appeared in the video, revealing complex psychology.
The title track of the fifth mini album, 'Chase You Down' (working title), is characterized by an addictive beat and a cheerful whistle sound. According to its agency Belift Lab, the pre-release challenge and 'Break Whistle', a self-produced mobile rhythm game utilizing the whistle, surpassed 40,000 users worldwide within four days of release. Through the game and the challenge, the new song's melody is quickly becoming known to the public.
Ahead of the comeback, ILLIT will meet fans at the encore tour 'ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START♥︎' ENCORE in KOREA' at Inspire Arena in Incheon on the 17th and 18th. The fifth mini album 'BREAK EVEN' and the full music video for the title track will be released on the 26th at 6 p.m.
