KBS 2TV's new epic drama 'Mumu' will premiere on November 14, 2026, at 9:20 p.m.

Set against 600 years of war and upheaval during the Three Kingdoms period, 'Mumu' portrays the tragedies and choices of those who lived through Baekje's final days. The story unfolds around a central axis of figures who bore the fate of Baekje.

■ King Uija's Court… The Convictions and Conflicts of Seongchung and Sataek Ji-jeok

King Uija, played by Ko Young-bin, is depicted as an intelligent and valiant monarch, but his unclear lineage and checks from power brokers also reveal a timid side. Seongchung, played by Im Ho, faithfully serves King Uija and at times does not spare sharp counsel. However, as King Uija rejects his close aides' advice and eliminates his vassals, the two men's relationship gradually grows distant.

Kim Byeong-gi plays Sataek Ji-jeok, an elder Baekje noble. Sataek Ji-jeok played a key role in King Uija's consolidation of royal power and, as a political partner, does not hesitate to speak bluntly.

■ From the Battle of Hwangsanbeol to the Silla-Tang Allied Invasion… Choices on the Battlefield

Jung Ui-gap plays Sang-yeong, a commander of the Jangchang unit. Sang-yeong joins the Battle of Hwangsanbeol to defend the Baekje capital Sabi, but is defeated by the Silla army and personally experiences Baekje's downfall.

Gyebaek, played by Kim Woo-dam, is a general of Queen Sataek's royal guard. When the Silla-Tang allied forces invade, he leads reinforcements into battle alone, confronting Kim Yu-sin despite the sacrifice of his family.

Geom-il, played by Lee Dal, is of Silla origin. After losing his wife in the Battle of Daya Fortress, he defects to Baekje out of a desire for revenge and turns his sword against his homeland, but ultimately meets a tragic end after Baekje's fall.

The production team stated, "We will densely depict the tragedy of history through the fall of Baekje, the first of the Three Kingdoms to perish," adding, "The actors' passionate performances will bring the drama's quality to its peak." The cast, including Ko Young-bin, Im Ho, Kim Byeong-gi, Jung Ui-gap, Kim Woo-dam, and Lee Dal, are expressing their characters' respective convictions with deep emotional nuance, heightening the drama's level of completion.
