A trot men's and women's death match unfolds in episode 14 of MBN's variety show 'The Man Who Became a Legend.' The biggest viewing point of this broadcast is the 'teacher-student showdown' in which singer Sungri faces off on stage against Geum Jandi, who was her professor in college.

The lineup of contestants alone draws attention. The 'Unknown Legend' TOP7—Sungri, Haru, Jang Hanbyul, Hwang Yoonseong, Jung Yeonho, Lee Changmin, and Irune—along with Shin Seungtae and Na Taeju, form the Warrior Team, while Ban Gahui, Geum Jandi, Jung Miae, Stephanie, Eun Gaeun, Gu Sugyeong, Jang Hyeri, Kim Taeyeon, and Bin Yeseo compete as the Women's Kingdom Team.

Geum Jandi, who watched her former student's performance, said of Sungri, "She is usually quiet and humble, but once she shows her flair, lasers come out of her eyes, so I was curious when she would shine." Sungri chose Jang Yoonjung's 'After You Left' to present an emotional performance.

The athletes' match is also featured prominently in this broadcast. Na Taeju, a taekwondo athlete of 26 years, mentioned his career as a former world No. 1 and displayed confidence, while Stephanie revealed that she learned ballet from the age of five, performed with an LA ballet company, and is currently on a national tour. The two showcased performances highlighting their respective specialties, and Irune commented on Stephanie's stage, saying, "Her dance style is definitely different."

An anecdote about Jung Miae and her husband Jo Seonghwan is also revealed. When Na Taeju mentioned Jo Seonghwan, Jung Miae expressed her hurt feelings toward her husband, saying, "One day my husband asked me to record Im Mija's 'I Loved You' for him, so I did, and then he went on 'Unknown Legend' and sang that song."
