HD Hyundai Marine Engine announced in a regulatory filing on the 22nd that it has signed a marine engine supply contract worth 26.8256 billion won with a Chinese shipbuilder.

According to the filing, the contract counterparty is China's JIANGSU NEW YANGZI SHIPBUILDING COMPANY LIMITED, and the region of sale and supply is also China. The contract period runs from October 21, 2026, to October 22, 2029, with the contract signed on October 21, 2026.

The contract amount represents 6.7% of the company's recent revenue of 402.396221904 billion won based on the consolidated financial statements as of the end of 2025. However, HD Hyundai Marine Engine stated that the contract period may be subject to change depending on the shipbuilding schedule of the counterparty's shipyard.

Payment will be made in installments—an advance payment, interim payments, and the balance—in accordance with the engine delivery schedule. The contract includes a down payment and advance payment, and the contract amount was calculated using the initial exchange rate announced on the contract date of 1,328 won per dollar.
