Voting for the Grand Actor Award in the Superstar category of the June Netizen Awards concluded on the 30th of last month. Actor Jung Young-joo defended the top spot in the first-half finals, retaining the throne for two consecutive months.
According to the final tally, Jung Young-joo secured first place with a total of 2,357 votes (32.7%). After dramatically reclaiming the lead in May, she recorded a consecutive victory in the first-half finals with the support of her fandom, proving her staying power as a perennial first-place star in the Grand Actor Award category.
Kim Won-hae, who pressured the leader until the very end, finished in second place with 2,146 votes (29.8%). The vote difference between the two actors was a mere 211 votes, marking a tight race that lasted until the final moment.
Choi Soo-jong firmly held third place with 792 votes (11.0%), asserting his pride in the top tier, while Kim Hye-do settled in fourth place with 411 votes (5.7%).
The mid-tier saw fierce ranking competition among veteran actors. Jo Han-chul, who ranked seventh last month, jumped to fifth place with 343 votes (4.8%). Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun, who was fifth last month, slipped one spot to sixth with 273 votes (3.8%), followed by Chae Shi-ra in seventh with 210 votes (2.9%). Han Suk-kyu took eighth place with 154 votes (2.1%), and Kim Kap-soo and Lee Il-hwa jointly ranked ninth with 143 votes (2.0%) each, completing the top 10 lineup.
An active contest also unfolded in the 11th to 15th range. Kim Eui-sung took 11th place with 132 votes (1.8%), followed by Yoo Hae-jin in 12th with 45 votes (0.6%). Kim Jung-nan, who was in the lower tier last month, rallied fan support to climb to 13th place with 26 votes (0.4%). Na Moon-hee placed 14th with 10 votes (0.1%), and Jo Jae-yoon recorded 15th with 7 votes (0.1%).
The lower-tier race also concluded with meaningful results. Cha Seung-won placed 16th with 5 votes (0.1%), while Park Ji-young and Lee Mi-sook jointly rose to 17th place with 4 votes (0.1%) each. Lee Hwi-hyang ranked 19th with 3 votes, and Kwon Hae-hyo took 20th with 2 votes.
Meanwhile, fans are focusing their attention on what changes the Grand Actor Award race will see in the second half of the year.
