EcoPro Materials recorded significant revenue growth in the second quarter of 2026, but swung to an operating loss compared to the previous quarter. However, the loss narrowed by more than half compared to the same period last year.

According to EcoPro Materials on the 4th, consolidated revenue for the second quarter of 2026 totaled 178.788 billion won. This represents a 129.0% surge from the same period last year (78.069 billion won) and a 7.4% increase from the previous quarter (166.529 billion won).

However, in terms of profitability, the company failed to extend its streak of operating profits from the previous quarter. The second-quarter operating loss came in at 10.584 billion won, turning to a loss following the first quarter (operating profit of 15.678 billion won). Fortunately, compared to the same period last year (operating loss of 28.79 billion won), the loss decreased by 63.2%, indicating a trend of improving performance.

The loss before income tax from continuing operations stood at 10.548 billion won, and the net loss for the period was 12.895 billion won, both turning to losses compared to the previous quarter. On the other hand, these figures improved by 76.3% and 61.5%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

[First-Half Cumulative Results Turn to Profit] On a cumulative basis for the first half (January–June), EcoPro Materials delivered solid results. Cumulative revenue reached 345.317 billion won, up 61.3% from the same period last year. Notably, cumulative operating profit came in at 5.095 billion won, successfully turning to a profit from the same period last year (operating loss of 43.574 billion won). Cumulative net income also reached 11.723 billion won, swinging to a profit from a net loss (40.827 billion won) in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the company plans to hold an online second-quarter earnings presentation at 2 p.m. today targeting institutional investors and analysts.

The company noted that these results are preliminary figures based on Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) consolidated basis and may be subject to change following the external auditor's audit results. Additionally, the company stated that as PT. Green Eco Nickel was incorporated as a subsidiary starting in the first quarter of 2026, financial statements from 2026 onward are prepared on a consolidated basis, whereas those through 2025 were prepared on a separate (non-consolidated) basis.
