A tragic incident occurred at a Go parlor in Nowon-gu, Seoul, where an argument that broke out during a game of Go led to a knife being drawn. A man in his 60s was killed in the incident, and a suspect also in his 60s was arrested at the scene and subsequently detained.

The court issued an arrest warrant for a man surnamed Jeon, who is facing murder charges, citing concerns that he may destroy evidence or flee. Judge Park Sa-rang, a warrant-dedicated presiding judge at the Seoul Northern District Court, decided to detain Jeon on the 10th after completing the warrant review hearing.

The incident took place at around 10:45 p.m. on the 8th at a Go parlor in Gongneung-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul. According to the police investigation, Jeon became involved in an escalating argument while playing Go with a male acquaintance in his 60s and, while intoxicated, wielded a weapon and injured the victim.

Police, dispatched after an immediate report from a witness inside the Go parlor, arrested Jeon at the scene as a current offender. The injured man was immediately transported to a hospital but ultimately died.

During the police investigation, Jeon reportedly admitted to the charges, stating, "I committed the crime out of anger after an argument." The police plan to further investigate the exact circumstances and motive behind the crime.
