Alteogen (196170) closed the session weaker amid a rising KOSDAQ index. Market attention is now focused on whether the stock will defend the 300,000-won level and attempt a rebound on the 18th, the first trading day after the holiday.

On the 14th, Alteogen finished at 314,000 won, down 3,500 won (1.10%) from the previous trading day. The stock opened at 317,000 won and climbed as high as 326,500 won during the session, but failed to sustain the upward momentum and at one point slipped to 310,000 won.

On the same day, the KOSDAQ index closed at 864.65, up 3.28 points (0.38%) from the previous trading day. In contrast to the broad market strength, Alteogen—the top KOSDAQ stock by market capitalization—ended lower, producing a divergence between the index and the share price.

It is also notable that Alteogen's share price has recently been moving around the 300,000-won mark. Alteogen closed at 305,000 won in the regular session on the 7th and finished trading at 348,000 won on the 10th, but later gave back part of its gains amid a weaker trend. It ended the regular session at 327,500 won on the 11th and at 317,500 won on both the 12th and the 13th.

Accordingly, when the domestic stock market reopens on the 18th after the holiday, whether the stock can defend the 300,000-won level is expected to be a key point of focus. Attention is centered on the direction of the share price—whether it will hold the 300,000-won range and rebound, or whether expanding volatility will put the 300,000-won level to the test once again.

Meanwhile, according to regulatory filings, Alteogen's main business is the research, development, and sale of biopharmaceuticals.
