Boryung announced on the 22nd that it has signed a supply contract for the export of its breast cancer drug Taxotere to China. The counterparty is Yifan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a company listed on China's Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

The contract amount is 383,651,802,736 won (approximately 383.7 billion won), equivalent to 37.71% of its recent revenue of 1,017,427,357,548 won based on the 2025 consolidated financial statements. In dollar terms, the contract amount is USD 277,144,985, calculated using the first announced exchange rate of 1,384.30 won per dollar at the Seoul Foreign Exchange Brokerage on September 22, 2026.

According to the disclosure, Yifan Pharmaceutical is a pharmaceutical company with competitive strength in the oncology field, engaged in the entire business spectrum from research and development to production and sales of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and synthetic and biopharmaceutical finished drugs, with a business network spanning more than 50 countries worldwide. The sales and supply territory under this contract is China.

The contract amount was calculated by applying the contract supply unit price to the supply quantities fixed in the contract for each contract year. The counterparty is obligated to fulfill a minimum purchase quantity (MPQ) commitment, purchasing at least 90% of the specified quantity each contract year. If this falls short, the counterparty must compensate Boryung in cash for the full shortfall based on the contract supply unit price. Accordingly, an amount equal to 90% of the contract value will be paid either through purchases or cash compensation.

The contract period runs from September 21, 2026, to September 20, 2033. However, the actual contract period is seven years from the completion of the transfer of the Chinese marketing authorization (MAT), meaning the contract end date may vary depending on when the transfer is completed. The contract end date may also be changed by mutual agreement between the two companies. The contract date is September 21, 2026, when final signatures by both companies were completed.

Meanwhile, the related disclosure to this announcement is the 'Contract for the Acquisition of the Global Business of the Breast Cancer Drug Taxotere' announced on June 1 this year.
