On September 4, 2026, domestic gold prices based on Geumsisae.com showed strength, with pure gold (3.75g) recorded at 864,000 won when buying, as prices of major precious metals all rose, including 18K, 14K, platinum, and silver.

■ Pure Gold (3.75g) Prices Pure gold (3.75g) rose 3,000 won to 743,000 won when selling, and climbed 11,000 won to 864,000 won when buying.

■ 18K, 14K, Platinum, and Silver Prices 18K rose 3,000 won to 549,000 won when selling, while 14K rose 2,000 won to 426,000 won when selling.

Platinum showed a relatively notable increase. It rose 6,000 won to 284,000 won when selling, and climbed 7,000 won to 344,000 won when buying.

Silver also showed strength. It rose 400 won to 11,450 won when selling, and increased 200 won to 12,250 won when buying.

The domestic gold market showed an overall upward trend on this day, with all items rising simultaneously. In particular, the buying price of pure gold jumped by more than 10,000 won, and with platinum and silver also rising together, strength continued across the entire precious metals market.

■ International Gold Prices Break Above $4,500 Per Ounce Again International gold prices rose above the $4,500-per-ounce level again, following a somewhat eased possibility of a U.S. interest rate hike. As Christopher Waller, a governor of the U.S. Federal Reserve System, made remarks suggesting that interest rates could be maintained at current levels depending on inflation trends, attention is focused on future interest rate movements. Meanwhile, the U.S. unemployment rate for August, announced on the 4th Korean time, rose to 4.1%.
