As of September 5, 2026, according to GoldPrice.com, domestic precious metal prices generally showed weakness. While pure gold, 18K, 14K, and silver prices all fell, only platinum's buying price rose slightly, showing a mixed trend.

■ Pure Gold, 18K, and 14K All Fall

Pure gold (3.75g) fell 16,000 won to 727,000 won for selling, and dropped 14,000 won to 845,000 won for buying. 18K fell 12,000 won to 537,000 won for selling, while 14K dropped 9,000 won to 417,000 won for selling.

■ Platinum Rises 1,000 Won Only on Buying Price... Silver Also Falls

Platinum maintained the same price as the previous day at 281,000 won for selling. In contrast, its buying price rose 1,000 won to 341,000 won, showing a trend distinct from other items. Silver fell 400 won to 11,050 won for selling, and dropped 150 won to 12,000 won for buying.

■ International Gold Price in the $4,400–4,500 Range... Treasury Yields a Future Variable

International gold prices have recently been fluctuating in the $4,400–4,500 per ounce range. Meanwhile, U.S. Treasury yields fell across maturities on the 3rd (local time) as Federal Reserve (Fed) officials continued to make dovish remarks. Although both short-term and long-term yields declined, the 30-year yield remained in the low-to-mid 5% range. Further movements in Treasury yields are also cited as a variable that will influence gold price trends.
